The sender is responsible that weights and dimensions are correctly specified for each consignment transported by ColliCare. The consignments total dimensions/weight are the basis for the correct calculation of the shipping price. Deviations in freight rates because of incorrect measures/weights are adjusted at the sender’s expense and invoiced.
All freight is calculated per registered consignment, regardless of the number of packages, and handled according to the agreed services and specified shipping calculation. A consignment is defined in a waybill with a sender and a receiver of the goods, and the shipping cost calculated by the specified weight/volume.
Transport prices are calculated by what is known as chargeable weight.
The term chargeable weight refers to the higher of the actual weight or the volume weight.
Volume weight is calculated using the following conversion factors:
Cubic meter (m3): Package’s (length * breadth * height) in meters.
Pallet space (ppl):
Pallets with base dimensions (1.2 m * 0.80 m) with goods that cannot tolerate a load of more than 400 kg/m2, or the top surface of the pallet is not flat;
Load meter (flm):
Goods that are difficult to load and cannot have other goods loaded on top of them (not weight bearing).
Load meter refers to the area on the load carrier that the goods require.
A rule of thumb is the goods’ (length (m) * breadth (m))/2.4.
Goods with a height over 1.50 meters are calculated according to load meters.
For goods within Sweden the volume weight is calculated as follows:
For goods within the Nordics (Sweden excluded):
For goods within Europe (Nordics excluded):
Cargos that are longer than 3 meters and shorter than 12 meters have their freight calculated according to the following table:
|Breadth in cm||1-40||41-80||81-120||121-160||161-240|
|Kg/meter of length||325||650||975||1300||1950|
